NRCS Local Working Group Meeting in Cherokee County, March 15

The NRCS spon­sored Chero­kee Coun­ty Local Work Group (LWG) meet­ing will be held at the ID Fairchild State For­est on March 15th. Jason Ellis (TFS), Reuben Gay (TPWD) and Bill Bar­tush (NETX­CDN) will be speak­ing and tour­ing a site or two at the for­est. Lunch will be served and the LWG meet­ing will com­mence after lunch to decide fund­ing pri­or­i­ties for the coun­ty. Atten­dance will be limited.

LWG Meet­ing — This local infor­ma­tion gath­er process is part of NRCS’ strate­gic approach to con­ser­va­tion across the state of Texas. NRCS uti­lizes Local Work Group meet­ings to gath­er input from landown­ers, agency part­ners and oth­er stake­hold­ers to iden­ti­fies and pri­or­i­tizes nat­ur­al resource con­cerns in the com­mu­ni­ty.
