Texas Forestry Association Seeks Executive Director

The Texas Forestry Association is accepting resumes for the position of Executive Director.
The Executive Director serves as the Association's chief executive officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association. Duties include, but are not limited to, participating in the recommendations and formulation of new policies and working within existing policies previously approved by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will need to plan and organize programs and activities for the Association to assure organizational objectives are attained, plans fulfilled, and TFA member needs are considered. The Executive Director will need to communicate effectively to maintain both internal and external relationships. Through management and leadership, the Executive Director will work to achieve forward-looking programming, and constructive growth of the Association.
Minimum qualifications for the position include a Baccalaureate Degree with preference for a professional forester from a Society of American Foresters accredited university; a minimum of five years’ employment with a comparable organization and/or have a work history demonstrating public relations experience. A competitive salary and benefits package will be negotiated commensurate with experience.
