The Texas Forestry Museum, located in Lufkin, displays the rich history of the Texas forests through exhibits, machinery, photographs and other memorabilia. The Museum also provides educational programs for youth and an interpretive trail for exploring.
Each year, thousands of visitors from throughout the world visit the museum to learn more about the colorful early logging days in East Texas as well as present and future forestry contributions.
The Museum, the only one of its kind in Texas, is open Monday — Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No admission is charged.
