 Texas Forestry Museum

The Texas Forestry Muse­um, locat­ed in Lufkin, dis­plays the rich his­to­ry of the Texas forests through exhibits, machin­ery, pho­tographs and oth­er mem­o­ra­bil­ia. The Muse­um also pro­vides edu­ca­tion­al pro­grams for youth and an inter­pre­tive trail for exploring.

Each year, thou­sands of vis­i­tors from through­out the world vis­it the muse­um to learn more about the col­or­ful ear­ly log­ging days in East Texas as well as present and future forestry contributions.

The Muse­um, the only one of its kind in Texas, is open Mon­day — Sat­ur­day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No admis­sion is charged.
