Texas producers, including forestry sector, eligible for new AgPro Grant Program

Texas agricultural producers — including those in the forestry sector — have a new opportunity to invest in their operations through the Agriculture Production Resource Opportunity (AgPro) Grant Program, administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

The program, launched in 2026 under the direction of the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority, is designed to help producers improve, expand and strengthen their operations through strategic investments in equipment, infrastructure and efficiency.

Who is eligible

The program is open to agricultural producers across Texas, including those engaged in forestry production. Eligible applicants must derive at least 50 percent of their gross income from agricultural products such as crops, livestock, forestry products, nursery stock, aquaculture or hydroponics.
